If the Twins, low market team, can get so many good and fantastic players, how dominate would they be if they were as rich as the Yanks!?

Johan Santana -Best Pitcher
Joe Mauer - Great young catcher
Justin Morneau - Dominating after being hammerd by a fast ball to the face
Francisco Liriano - Soon to return in 08!
Joe Nathan - One of if not THE best closer in the game
Best Bullpen as of last year
Great D

I'm not trying to brag or anything, but I wanna hear your thoughts, what would the Minnesota Twins be like if they had as much money as the Yankees or Red Sox?

thered be less of a chance that santana and morneau and mauer would leave after their contracts expired, plus they'd be able to sign some more bigger name free agents instead of guys like Tony Batista, Ruben Sierra, and (to be determined if last year was just a fluke) Ro. White. With Terry Ryan as the GM, there is no way the twins would make bad decisions with a lot of cash. They would still develop their minor league players, and build from within, they would just have more room to sign their players and find solid free agents to fill holes in the rotation and field.

Oh, and how bout santana today against those white stockings? great pitching performance

I have read that your owner does have more money than the Yanks. He just will not spend it. I beg to differ with the Twins being a small market team. I am from Detroit and I have a friend living in Minn/St. Paul. I have been to Twins games. You can sell out your dome no matter what. Oh, by the way, you probably have the best farm system on the planet, great fans and a cheap owner. Additionally, I cannot remember the last time the Twins did not have a winning record. If your owner spent a little more, you guys would be in the big game almost every year. Hell, you are almost doing that now.

If the Twins were as rich as the Yankees, then their cheapskate owner would pocket the money. If the Twins SPENT as much money as the Yankees, then I'm sure they could eventually produce Yankee-like results, i.e. playoffs every year, winning the World Series every once in a while.

Teams like the Twins and the Athletics manage to be competive without all the cash that the New York teams, the LA teams and the Red Sox spend.

The Twins are my favorite AL team. If they were as rich as the Yankees, they would be even better

If the Twins had as much money as the Yankees, they might actually be good.

If the Twins were as rich as the Yanks they'd get full of themselves and try to trade for All-Stars instead of developing awesome talent like they have. So be happy that the Twins aren't as rich as the Yanks.
