You need to figure out for yourself if this woman is "the one" and not let your parents decide at 33. However, it is easier if your parents like the girl. Talk to them and find out what they don't like. Maybe it is a misunderstanding and you can clear things up between them before moving forward.

people have gotten married after knowning each other for a lot less than a year. if you love her and she loves you and you both want to get married then go for it. try to figure out why your parents dislike her. maybe the 4 of you need to sit down and talk things out. make sure you include your parents in everything you do though. they are your family too, dont forget that.

Dude, do you always do what Mommy and Daddy tell you? If you love this girl and want to marry her because you love her and will provide for her and believe that she'll be a good partner to you too, then do it! Unless there is a problem with her that you're not mentioning and they have reason to dislike her, cut the apron strings! They will either accept her and your marriage, or you will need to do things without their approval.

Follow your heart man. Your parents love you, and they only want what they think is best for you. If your 33 and in love, man, follow your gut instinct...... if you've weighed their advice, man up, be the bigger person, and thank them for their concern, but you need to do this, and if you fall flat on your nose then and only then will you be able to see what their fears were all about,,,,or you can do good and well, and prove them wrong....... Its your life ,,,, live it.

I think you should do whatever you feel is right, but sometimes family members know when something is not right when you can't see it because you are blinded by love. WE told my sister not to marry her ex but she did any way and soon was afraid for her life on top of many other bad things happening to her during her very short marriage to him.

There comes atime in everybodies life when they finally grow up and live their own life. You wll not please everyone in doing your own thing so just please yourself as its your life and no one elses. If youre happy with this woman then nothing or no one else should matter and its none of their business anyway. At 33 youre really old enough to take charge of your life and make your own choices, no matter what mommy and daddy like. Good luck and congrats on your upcoming marriage

There will never be a 'right one'. Make your own mistakes if you are a man and not a Mummy's boy. That poor woman.
