Actually, it is true about half the time.
There are lots of other ways, which I'm sure you are finding out about: shape of the belly, position of the baby, heart rate (which is a pretty good method), features in your eyes, how beautiful you are during pregnancy, time of month of conception, food likes and dislikes. Somehow, any time someone is pregnant all these methods seem to pop up.
In fact, most of the ways of telling the sex of the child other than actually waiting the full 9 months are right only about half the time. Sometimes someone gets lucky and the method works for several in a row, but the law of averages does catch up with the method.

Im praying its no longer real. I continuously believed that it replaced into real. I even have 2 women and 2 boys. (blessed) ;-) I have been given terrible morning ailment with my 1st daughter, in basic terms threw up as quickly as with my 2nd, in no way something with my boys. Now i'm 9 weeks pregnant and that i'm praying for a boy, women are no longer common whilst they advance up. I cant deal, regardless of the undeniable fact that i'm sick on and stale with this infant. :-( i'm hoping the previous better halves tell is in basic terms a delusion. i do no longer prefer yet another woman!!!

I had 2 girls, my first was extremely active. She didn't seem to ever stay still. My 2nd was very lazy. She would go so long sometimes between movements that I would start poking at my stomache just to make sure she was ok. I would say that maybe that sign doesn't necessarily add up. If you are hoping for a boy I say good luck. I hope it is.

I don't think it works that way. The shape of your stomach doesn't mean anything either. I hardly slept when I was pregnant because the baby was moving Alot, felt like she was playing soccer in there. Everyone told me that meant I was having a boy, well I had a girl.

That's not true. When my aunt was pregnant with my cousin, she was very mixy and moved quite a lot in her stomach. I constantly saw my aunt's stomach push out each time she kicked. Just stick with the ultrasound to determine the gender.

You can not go by whether or not the baby is active or not to determine its gender. Get an ultrasound done and find out.

Before birth, ultrasound is the most accurate. You will hear lots of predictors, but most of them are unfounded and a few may have something to them, though they are not proven. The only 100% way to know is to have the baby and check the goods for yourself. :)

Honestly, these wives tales are just that. Wive's tales. Carrying high, heartburn, nor the amount of dairy you intake are indicators of gender, either.
