HE SHOULD BE IN THE TEAM BUT MY POINT IS HE SHOULD NOT BAT AT NO. 1 OR NO.2. I THINK HE IS A GOOD ATTACKING BATSMAN.HE SHOULD COME IN THE MIDDLE ORDER.

felt sorry for joyce, was man of the match against kenya, and he has scored more runs than vaughan, whos scored a total of 12 runs in four innings, so no i dont think vaughan should be in the side to be honest if that was ian bell he would be dropped, hes been given a let off at joyces expence as hes captain. thing with england is we dont have an opening batsman of the likes of hayden. joyce and strauss both play together at middlesex so in theory should know enough about each others game to partner each other. pietersen should be moved up the order.
vaughan is a good captain but anyone else would be out, how about dropping himself for one game andd giving the captaincy to collingwood?

Vaughan should voluntarily drop himself from the side. Why Ed Joyce was made the only scapegoat when there were others also not performing is a mystery to me. Will Joyce come back in again now because Strauss failed too? I damn hope so!

If Vaughan plays in the next game, Panasar should be dropped and Joyce picked in his place. Vaughan should then be given the 'spinners' job, this justifies him being in the team. He is as good as Panesar as a bowler because lets face it - Monty is never going to run through a side unless England get to play an ordinary club side and his batting and fielding would be more at home on a village green.
All this chat about how good Vaughan is - you are as good as your last game - which makes our skipper biz.

I think they need to play around with the order a bit
Bring freddie or bopara in earlier (would suggest Pieterson but he doesn't want to move) and play vaughan later in the order at no 5 or 6
Lets face it they can't do any worse than they are already.
Vaughan won't want to lose the one day captaincy as it will put a lot of pressure on him for the test captaincy - look what happened to Nasser.

Well he is very good captain but he isn't worth his place as a batsman. England have been 2 wickets down early on in most matches.
I think he will retire from ODI cricket at the end of this tournament - I doubt his knee will last much longer anyway.

Yes , May be he is not a great batter. But he is a great captain .We must rewind what happened in ashes and other on days. He have a tendancy to boost players ,make concentrations good plans. You must think what happened in india . They dropped their success captain ganguly ,then they are loose their all games .
Solution is found some great player then make decisions who should on the team.

no he simply is deteriorating by the day. He should stay in the hospital. He doesn't really help in any part of the team but yet he was included because he was a captain. Whatever happened to Marcus Trescothick???

No. Hopefully Marcus Trescothick will get over all of his problems and replace him in the England team. He has shown already, even in pre-season warm up matches, that he is in good shape.
