- 3y + 6 + 5x

- 3y + 6 - 6 = 5x - 6

- 3y = 5x - 6

- 3y / - 3 = 5x/- 3 - 6/ - 3

y = - 5/3x + 2

-3y+6=5x

subtract 6 for both sides
-3y = 5x - 6

divide -3 for both sides
y = -5/3x + 2

hi i'd love to help you out.

-3y+6=5x ------ first isolate the varible y and if it has a constant which it does(-3)
-3y+6=5x
-6 -6

-3y=5x-6------- now your goal is to isoltate the varible(y) by itself and the only way to do that would be to divide both sides of the question by the constant which is -3
so divide both sides of the equation by -3

-3y/-3=(5x-6)/-3------ your now left with y

y=5x-6/-3------ you can simplify by telling -3 is a multiple of -6 so when you simplify those you are left with you ANSWER:

y=-5/3x+2----- ANSWER

-3y+6 = 5x
-6 = -6
-3y = 5x-6
-(-3y = 5x-6)
3y = -5x+6
y = (-5x+6)/3

or

-3y+6 = 5x
3y-6 = -5x
3y-6 = -5x
3(y-2) = -5x
3(y-2) = -5x
/3 /3
y-2 = -5x/3
+2 = +2
y = -5x/3 + 2

I prefer the second one. it's answer much simplier. both are correct

y = ((-5/3)x) + 2

Start by taking care of your simple stuff - get rid of the 6 by subtracting it from each side which makes
-3y = 5x - 6

Then to get the value for y (get rid of the -3) Divide each side by -3 which gives you
y= (5x - 6) / -3

Then you reduce it by dividing each number by -3 so that gives you:
y = ((-5/3)x) - (-2)

and since subtracting a negative is a positive you get
y = ((-5/3)x) + 2
