I took the kids to see Grandma in Memphis today at her new care facility. The other place she was at was towards the outside of the city, so we never had to actually go into the city to see her before. The new place is downtown, so we got to see more of Memphis today than the kids are used to. My oldest fell asleep on the way to Memphis and woke up to find herself surrounded by tall buildings she had never seen before. She gasped and yelled "Mom! This isn't how we get to Grandma's! This is New York City!"

That's a cute story. I guess from a child's perspective it would seem like a really big city like New York. Kids can say the darndest things can't they????
