Pretty much. I have faith in God & trust him.
I have faith in & trust myself because I know who I am completely & I am in control of myself.
I don't have complete faith in or trust for any other human because you never really know anyone (even after 30 years of marriage a spouse can pack up in the middle of the night & leave without a word, can have been living a lie whether it was an affair, or a second wife or the fact that they're gay or whatever & the wife is completely shocked). You only know what people show you. You can't read their minds or hearts. You can only guess. No one is perfct. You can not control anyone but you. I love those close to me but I don't trust anyone 100%.

Yes. Faith and trust both mean to have confidence in some one or something, hoping that person or thing will achieve a goal. For example, you could say "I trust him having the ball to make the game-winning shot." In other words, you could say "I have faith that he will make the game-winning shot." Over all, they both mean the same thing.

I suppose so, because I don't see faith as strictly religious thing, infact I see that faith is a way of expressing you have the up-most trust in something/someone...so I suppose if you trust something to occur, you have faith in that event... there's also an element of hope involved in faith.

Yes. They are essestially the same thing. I personally think that faith requires more of a reason to trust something or someone.

In the Dictionaries Faith and Trust do cross reference one another, both are mentioned many times throughout the Bible, and one particular reference says "without FAITH it is IMPOSSIBLE to."......(know,understand comprehend God.?) no........TO PLEASE GOD"..so , with the measure of faith we are born with, we need to exercise that FAITH to please HIM. It was strong FAITH in an unseen God, that caused NOAH to build the ARK..that saved the animal kingdom and mankind, this was a huge act of FAITH and TRUST, in his GOD,...despite the terrible mocking he endured. That is the faith that moves mountains, and trusts unquestioningly.

faith is what you resort to having when you lack any evidence whatsoever, such as faith in god.....trust is typically a virtue the one has towards other people which is reliant on some kind of evidence of the person's behavior....
