Faith is a deeper form of trust. U don't reqire proofs in order to have faith in something.
On the other hand trust requires proof.
Faith should not be mistaken for religion, it is simply belief without questioning.

Faith is when you believe in something that may or may not be true, but you strucure your actions around that belief. With faith, we do not need to see proof, but rather it holds stead when we most need something to believe in. Faith is very hard to break for this reason.

Trust is when you believe in someone (or, I suppose, something) that you truely believe is true. With trust, it must be gained - through reputation or by proof or simply through time. It is, therefore, very easy to loose trust, as one action can undo all that.

Faith is often associated with religious beliefs, whereas trust is more general.

While at first they may seem very much the same, the key difference is that trust may be based on your previous experience with someone whereas faith, by definition, is "blind." You believe in something or someone by faith because you truly believe it, not because they have proven themselves in the past.

I think they are the same. Trust doesn't have to be earned; you can trust someone without having any reason to believe that trust will not be betrayed. Trust doesn't necessarily have to be earned.
