There are some very smart people in the news networks even CNN. I enjoy CNN and its reporting but like all networks they are centered on the concept that their presentation of the news is what makes people make decisions. Of course the first amendment is necessary, but I also believe that the news has a tendancy to report the facts so much that people start forming opinions that are negative about the facts of events, such as war. Any human being that is bombarded with enough bad news will eventually reflect that condition in their attitude and it will affect their actions. Smart people, even pulitzer winners will tell you about responsible reporting. The first amendment right is what it is and I think that in order to maintain that right one should have to abide by Responsible Reporting. If not they would be in danger of losing that right. It is ok to report until it affects the nation and its people and then the first amendment right has been abused. Abuse of rights is like any other, you have the right to do as you wish, so long as it does not infringe on the rights of others. Period. Any infringement should be grounds for loss and misuse. Remember, your rights and freedoms are exclusive and apply to everyone and when some one else is negatively impacted by your event, it is no longer constitutional. The document is what it is supposed to be not the interpretations. Right is right and wrong is wrong.

What does "smort" mean? Possibly a portmanteau between "smug" and "sort"?

I like to think I'm pretty smort.

I watch MSNBC and when I want to see a comedy I flip over to FOX Noise.
