What do you mean what happened to them? They are still performing and selling out arenas all over the world. Still majorly successful and loved.

On February 14, 2007, Oasis received the BRIT Award for outstanding contribution to music.[22] After receiving their award, the band played a set consisting of "Cigarettes & Alcohol", "The Meaning of Soul", "Morning Glory", "Don't Look Back in Anger" and "Rock 'N' Roll Star".[23]

Oasis' next album has been hinted at by Noel. In the November 2006 issue of Hot Press he claimed "There'll probably be an EP out in mid to late 2007,and a new studio album in 2008...We do have some rather excellent songs written though, so I think it'll be a good one". In February 2007, Noel said that the band are writing songs and that they have been working on since the latest sessions such as "Stop the Clocks", "Lord Don't Slow Me Down", "I Want to Live in a Dream in My Record Machine" and "The Boy with the Blues". Recording sessions for new material will not commence until mid-2007 at the earliest, due to the absence of Starkey, who is touring with The Who until June 2007.

Recently, Noel Gallagher told the Telegraph, that the band may play on the massive Live Earth concerts to promote global warming awareness set to take place around the world on July 7, 2007. In a typical manner he remarked: "I find myself the epitome of global cool; it would all be wrong if I didn't turn up, wouldn't it?"

yes, i agree that their latest efforts aren`t up to their earlier recordings, but i`ve been a fan for 10+ years now, so i can`t give up on them just yet!!! i`m waiting to see the results of their recording for the "sgt. pepper`s" 40th anniversary tribute album & see how it sounds!!!
