I am getting married this summer #3. I do believe in marriage. All my husbands have been older than me. Through much trial and error and very bad choices I think I have it right this time. He calms me down and keeps me grounded and makes me realize he and I is what is important and everything else is second. After all is said and done and at the end of the day if we can't be there and love each other what is the point. So I am trying to find out what is exceptable for this. He is conservative, I will be 43 and he will be 63. I am open to all options. Nothing to wild he is from Georgia and very old school.

Well, my #3 wedding I wore a red dress and it was beautiful. Red for passion and longevity! Red for fire in my blood. If you feel that way, the Georgia-peach won't mind. The cards say "red", and carry white roses. Godloveyaboth.

Two divorces and 43-years-old...I'd say you've earned the right to wear whatever you want! You should probably ask him a general question about it if you're worried about offending his conservative sensibilities. You know, about gown length or sleeves or things like that. But I say wear white if you want, red if you want, whatever you and he feel best fits this union between the two of you.

I will say this...when I was getting adjustments made to my wedding dress, I saw a woman in her late 30's or so wearing a strapless, empire waist white gown with froofy skirt--very typical dress for a 20-year-old and it was off-putting. It seemed to disrespect her age, if that makes sense.

But really, nobody here will be able to determine better than you and your fiance. I wish you the best with your marriage and hope your wedding day is a lovely and memorable one (of course it will be!)

A Black Dress... Lol just kidding... Maybe a red or royal blue gown... those are always pretty... I dont think white would be the best choice... No offence but white is kind of a 1st time wedding type of thing... But you can do whatever you want...

Find a beautiful dress, a beautiful gown. Let the gowns speak to you instead of figuring them out ahead of time. Time to do things ever differently. Best wishes to you for lasting love! Peace.

Why don't you do black, yellow, and white. That way the groomsmen can wear black and white then your bridesmaids can wear yellow with maybe a black sash? Depending on what shade of yellow you're choosing, they might not look like bees.
