The way most teams are turning to a 2 back system, I think it will be difficult for any running back to get to the 2000yrd mark. I am a Packer fan first, but an NFL fan in general. Frank Gore is a GREAT running back!!! He is capable of putting up 1200-1700 yards a year. There are many teams in the league that could use someone like that. Packers included.

No i don't. the offensive line is not good enough and Alex Smith won't open up runnig lanes for gore because of a lack of completions.
Frank Gore is a great running back that with a better offensive line could possibly break that record, which is very difficult to break
He will however have another good year with over 1,000 yards

No. As we saw last year, Gore is a good RB but is not big enough and the SF line not good enough to stop him from taking his share of hits. The wear and tear for a 2,000 yard year is to much for Gore. Now 1,500 maybe 1,600 yards.....I could go with that.

Frank Gore is the man! He has as good a shot as any back to reach the 2,000 yd mark. Can't help but like a guy who's battled his way back from multiple knee injuries.

If you mean within 500 yards then, yes. I don't see him running for any more than 1700 or so yards. He'll be third in the league rushing again this year behind LT and Larry Johnson, but thats nothing to be ashamed of.

I don't think so. even Shaun Alexander, MVP of the 2005 season, couldn't rush 2,000 yds. So, Frank Gore won't even get close.

Only if they have to rely on him that much. The idea isn't to have your back reach 2,000 yards in a season. That's what happens when you have either an EXCEPTIONAL RB like Barry Sanders or LT, or you have NO PASSING GAME, like the teams Barry Sanders played for.

it is really hard to break the 2000 mark. i think frank gore is capable of another 1500+ season but definitely not 2000.

No not without Norv Turner running that offense. In fact I predict Gore's numbers will fall sharply.
