Would this be a good trade for me in fantasy baseball?
I would get Mark Teixeira and Josh Beckett.
i would give Derrek Lee and Brian Giles.

Great deal for you. Teixeira and Lee are a wash fantasy wise, both very productive 1st basemen who will give practically the same numbers across the board. Beckett may finally be able to put it all together, he is clearly a talented pitcher just hasnt found a groove. this should be his year. Giles has virtually no fantasy value, he is a 3rd or 4th tier fantasy outfielder at best. There are lots of guys on the free agent list of your league who can put up similar numbers so take the deal. Good pitching on the wire is harder to find than an average outfielder and if Beckett finally matchs his potential then you get a top 10 or 15 pitcher.

Only if you need pitching. Beckett I think will have an average year and Derrek Lee is a better player than Teixeira, I would not do this trade.

No because Beckett is not dominating like back in 2003 against the yanks in the playoffs.You would give up a Triple crown threat Derrek Lee.Which is what he was a couple years back.Get Pelfrey He's supposed to be the next Verlander.He's coming up to the Majors on the 13th or 15th of this month.Hitters are more valuable because they account for a lot in Fantasy Baseball.They get R,RBI,HR,doubles,triples,BB.
Pitchers get W,K,WHIP

If you don't need a SP in a big way, I wouldn't do it. I take Lee over Teixeira because of his SB's at a notoriously slow position. Beckett may or may not show up over the long haul. Don't panic a week into the season. It just isn't worth it.

YES. I got Mark on my team and he doesnt dissapoint. Derek Lee is good in the clutch but i think you can afford to take him out of the lineup. Giles was only good on the Pirates and Padres. No way would i keep him. Josh Beckett is almost a veteran but i think he is going to be just like trevor hoffman. he'll b good this year and Mark is always good. TAKE THE DEAL

Yes. I would do it. The 2 1Bs are equal (u may actually be better off) and if u need pitching, then go for it. Good luck to u in ur fantasy season.
