My friends and I were talking abou this the other day. Some people get married wayy to young so I was wondering what is the "normal" age to get married now a days?

there is no normal age to get married. it just depends on the couple-- their past,education, family, how they get along together,but remember have a job first- one that pays more then @7.00 hr, otherwise both of you will need to work and if you both do work try to make it where you both work close to the same hrs such as if he starts work at 7am then try to have your job start around 7am that way you two will be off at the same time and can spend more time together. this may sound crazy but there are people/couples getting married at age 70.

That is a really bad idea. There is no rush if you guys are planning to be together. I got married when I was 19 and ended up getting divorced because it was way too early. The two of you need to give time to see how you grow and how your views on the world change. You should also live together for at least 2-3 years minimum to know if it will really work out. It's easy to have a stress free relationship when there is no responsibility. I know you feel that it will be just like now with a ring, but you are wrong. The simple act of getting married doesn't change the relationship - it's time that changes it. You need time first so you don't end up in a mess.

There is no "normal" or correct age to get married. It's different for each couple. When ever the time is right for each person/couple and when they know they are ready thats when they get married.

Depends on how mature one is. Basically when finances allow is one good measurement. I see that this generation waits longer till late 20s or so which is good idea since the decade of the 20s is still a growth and development one.

I dont know what the average age is. I think its mid to late 20s. Most of my friends were young.

Old enough to be responsible and financially secure for all the things that comes with being married.

25- no later than 37 being married too old is not good
