CLEARLY we have caused damage as mankind moved into the industrial age with coal burning powerplants and billions of cars that spew toxic co2 at immense levels into our atmosphere its scary to think if mankind doesnt wake up and curve the abuse which is rampant in time to prevent irreverisible trama to our little tiny jewel floating in a bleek black universe unknown if mankind will change as a whole and set aside its pride and save future lives.;

All the ostriches who have their heads buried in the sand will someday wake up to find out that "Chicken Little was right". Global warming is a real threat to our planet - and our survival. Yes, there are cyclical patterns, and have been for centuries. But there's a big difference this time: the past 150 years of our "industrial revolution" which only helped to speed the process and change the natural order or those cyclical events.
So - even if global warming ISN'T a real threat: WHY would we deliberately CHOOSE to ignore it and not do anything about it? WHY would we continue to squander our natural resources, pollute our air and water, and ruin the delicate natural ecological balance between all life on Earth?
If you truly believe savings and conservation isn't significant, then I'd like to propose that you send me ALL of your money and let me fritter it all away. WHY do people think their money and material "things" are worth saving, but the natural resources of this beautiful planet aren't??
It's a weak, selfish mind that argues against protecting and preserving the planet. If we wish to save this planet for all future generations, we MUST go on an ecological diet now. Driving around in $60,000 gas-guzzling SUVs; refusing to reduce, re-use and recycle; ignoring the impact that global warming will have on millions of people living in coastal cities around the world; and continuing to buy all kinds of plastic junk at WalMart just because of those "low prices - everyday" is incredibly gluttonous and wasteful.
Everyone that indulges in such swag (sh*t we all get) ought to be ashamed of themselves. -RKO- 04/08/07

The Earth has changed many times, its either been too hot, or too cold. This just may be the beginning of another era. Is it a little scary, yes. Will I obsess over it and be miserable my whole life wondering when it will be "The End of the World", No. Dinosaurs couldn't stop it and either can we.

Anti-capitalist hype perpetuated by those who benefit the most.
Researchers looking for grants.
Third world countries looking to extort money from the U.S.
Left-wing tree hugger former V.P's looking to profit from HIS
'carbon offset' company
Right now it's all hype. There has yet to be any proof that it is not a natural earth cycle.
Too much B.S. to give it any thought.

I think it is horrible and I think that eventually the world will get tired of it and do something about it. If there was something that I could do, no matter what it was, I would do it just to save planet Earth....
