how hard are they to replace

the struts are the shock absorbers, and the springs need a tool that they rent at auto zone,, buy the struts there and get the tool for free the springs usually arent the problem the leaking of the hydraulic fluid from the shocks is the problem me and a good friend did mine a few weeks a go we took a couple of hours to do it as i didnt buy the ones with the kit already on them its a bout a 70 dollar a piece differance, sooo

How hard or difficult something to do is relative to the experience, knowledge, and ability one has. If you have the correct equipment though, they are not "hard" to replace on most cars.

depends on what you know, and how much time you are willing to spend, also depends on the type of car (suspension. some can be tricky, others just require some patience and thought. one suggestion, get a book, and research your situation, fallow every step.
