Mike Nesmith or Peter Tork because they were both the more skilled musicians, whereas Davy Jones and Mickey Dolenz were actors when they started on The Monkees, and as most Monkee fans know, Mickey had to be taught to play the drums left handed! lol!

O god I can't believe I'm answering this... I was a young teenager when they were first popular (ouch dating myself now I feel silly) and had the biggest crush on Davy. But I'd pick Mickey because he was so goofy and mischievous
