WONDERCON '07: JUDD WINICK PANEL

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Judd Winick began his spotlight panel at WonderCon on Friday afternoon by explaining how he had decided not to have a moderator to ask him questions and field questions from the audience, but rather just handle the whole panel himself and focus a portion of the panel on writing and his process.

In his opening remarks, Winick joked that he’s now “down to one full-time job” which would be writing comics books as The Life and Times of Juniper Lee, his animated series on Cartoon Network has ended after 40 episodes. While Winick said he was extremely proud of the show, at the same time, he wasn’t entirely sad to see it cancelled, as the show’s schedule and workload (flying to LA for two to three days a week from his home in San Francisco) saw him gain 25 pounds and strained his relationship with his wife. Adding to the stress of the entire situation Winick said, was the fact that he and his wife had a baby tow days before the first show aired
