I'm not against marriage, I'm against divorce. People of all colors can fall for other people of all colors.

I've never been against interracial marriage, but I've seen the problems that arise when children are born in inter-culteral marriages.
My daughter is in a marriage of mixed cultures, and everything was fine until the child came along. Now there is constant turmoil about how the child is to be brought up, even though they thought most of the differences were worked out before the baby was born. Sometimes it breaks my heart. But this is the reality.

Im married to a white man and im white too. However i don't think it is wrong for a couple of a different race to get married. There is no law saying you have to marry someone of your race. You also can't help who you fall in love with and race shouldn't be an issue it might cause problems for the couple if the inlaws are racist but why let the inlaws run your personal life?

Although I fell in love with someone of my own race, I am all for interracial marriage. I think that true love between two people is a rare and beautiful thing, regardless of race and ethnicity. Besides, some of the most beautiful babies are bi-racial...what better proof is there than that!!

I am for as long as the people that are involved are doing it for the right reasons. I've known too many people who get married to another just to anger their family or just to get attention or because of some other reason.

I say marry for love. Don't marry for money or because she/he has a good job, body, or any other shallow reason. Those marriages don't make it past the year marker. I am white and my husband is white also. My father is racist and my mother is prejudice. In the past I was in love with several black guys and many guys of different cultural backgrounds. Love is colorblind!

To "presleygirl..."
I absolutely agree with you that we decide who we fall in love with... but come on! Do you honestly think only black men have problems with not working and hanging out with their boys? Like every white guy in America has a job and is home with his wife every night? What if some guy came up to you said he didn't like white girls because they're materialistic and ignorant and all they like to do is go to the mall and spend money?

I have no problem whatsoever with interracia marriages. In fact, growing up in the multi-cultural DC metropolitan area, it seems slightly unusual to see several same-race marriages in one location. I believe I've dated all of the races, myself, and ended up marrying my Dominican man 2 months ago. I'm all for interracial marriages. When I see it, I know I'm looking at two open-minded individuals and I immediately like them.

Society still has labels for humans other than
they just being humans. I am for any human that
wants to get married to another human as long as
they both treat each other with respect and dignity
and obeys their vows. I am not a judgemental
person and everyone has to answer to their upper
being later anyway so as a human being to another
human being do what makes you happy just make
sure you make that other person happy also.

It doesn't really matter to me. Marriage is hard enough without having to deal with those issues as well. But if people decide to do that, it's there business. Maybe you can't help who you fall in love with.

I say, if you the love the person why does it matter that you both are two different races?
Difference is what makes our world beautiful and Whenever I like a guy its because of who they are and how they make me feel when I am with them. Not because of their race so if you love this person I say go for it marry them! You wouldn't want to regret losing the love of your life just because of race.
