I noticed a lot of comments about not letting them use a gun to pierce ears. I went to a professional place and they used a gun to pierce ears. How else do they do ears?

with the tube thing they use to pierce tongues and belly buttons,
but its okay to pierce ears with a gun becasue the skin aint so sensitive as other parts of the body

Mine were done with a needle with thread. The lady passed the needle through the ear lobe and then she left the thread in the ear lobes (she made a little ring) for about a week. I had to rotate the thread rings every morning because they used to get stuck to my skin. The idea was to avoid the piercing to close.
That was more than 20 years ago. I was 7 and it was painful. It required a lot of work and then one of the piercings closed after a month, so she had to do it again:(

You should be careful WHO is using the gun, as sometimes people are talking to someone else and screw up the placement of the piercing. I had it happen.
I waited for the piercing-in-the-wrong-place to heal, then I pierced my own ears with a sterilized needle and ice. Of course I was in high school at the time!

needles, but usually for the ears they go with the gun...however, all other piercings are for the most part done with a needle...

I had a friend who just stuck the earing right through her ear. If I were you I would use the gun.

well I believe they can stick a needle right through it. Sound kind of cruel and painful huh? Doesn't the gun sound better now?

USE THE GUN!!! these people doing themselves are risking tearing the skin, causing more scar tissure and a longer recovery time. going to piercing pagoda and let them shoot that gun right through!! BANG! you're done!

Dont waste money on someone to do your ears..
They are just ears!!
I pierce my own ears.. i take a saftey pin and sanatize it..
and there it goes.

Needles but that takes longer and usually more painful.
