Grew up as a country boy, running thru the wheat and corn fields. That's why the song "Greenwaves" by Secret Garden means alot to me.
You never hear about it in the movies or real life, but there are ground bees, yellow jackets, that defend their patch of ground. So, if you see a young boy running across the field, its not always because he likes running.

The quieter the better for me too. So I would prefer to live in the country. But that is not practical since I have to have a job. So I live in the suburbs. Next best thing I guess. At least it is a bit quieter than the city, and doesn't smell like a cesspit like the city does around here.

I live in a township outside of city of about 313,000 people. We have everything we need here a WalMart, Kroger, McDonalds, gas station, plenty of other food places and the city is less than 5 minutes away. My sister lives about 30-45 minutes away from the city and I hate driving all the way out there and it sucks when you need something in the city. I could never live somewhere as big as NYC, but I like my suburban life style.

After living in the big city for almost 49 years, I'm finally in a small town that I wouldn't trade for anything. When I do go south, (So. Ca.) I sit in traffic more than anything else. Plus I get flipped off all the time there. Small town is the best for me.

i hate living in the country, but i also hate the hustle and bustle of city living, so i guess i'd buy a house in suburbia
