Anything that creates and reinforces new neural pathways will help protect against Alzhimers. A recent study showed that people that are multi-lingual suffer less incedents of Alzhimers. My hypothesis: as long as you keep learning and put yourself in a position where you are mentally challenged your brain is going to remain in working condition.

Anything that stimulates the brain will help fight Alzheimers. A stimulating career, reading, doing word problems, anything that makes you think is a big plus in helping with that.

Keeping the mind stimulated in general, by reading, word puzzles, taking university classes, whatever, often can keep Alzheimers at bay. The incidence of Alzheimers is significantly lower in those with higher education levels. Acutally, in studies of people who have lived past 100, most of them are still actively engaged in the world, and keep themselved mentally stimulated

Perhaps. But do lots of crossword puzzles or anything to stimulate your mind. Eat fish. Eat things that have a good source of omega fatty acids. Like tuna, salmon, some nuts. Oh and cut out as much saturated fat as you can. That has been known to make it progress somehow.

Anything that stimulates the brain/thinking will help with alzheimers.

As of this date, nothing will prevent it, but you can do things to slow the process down. Keeping your mind active is one of them.

No mam I do not think it does. One of my parents friends died from alzheimers. It was sad because he was a very nice man.
