First i spent an Hour at the Cemetery at Sunrise service...it was at the graveside of my two parents who died before their time.
Then i put flowers and stuff on their graves and my grandparents graves..
I went to a regular family style dinner at noon and ate the usual holiday fare...
then i went to the local nursing home and hospital and visited the people who do not have any visitors...
i just gave them a treat or a flower...
I am a nurse and i seen a lot of suffering after the war with the veterans..i seen wives and lovers bolt from the room when they seen their "Heroes" come home from battle..some lost limbs and some were burned very badly...the lucky ones had loving family and friends who stuck with them..but some people cannot accept seeing this much suffering and can't deal with this...they just leave them in the vet hospitals and never come back...
