for my math project, i want a data set that shows that there is a linear relationship between two variables.e.g. The price of wine and its quality or the price of houses and their size.

you might expect the quality of wine versus price will look more like log ... the more you spend the less of a difference there is

shouldn't you just take some data and INVESTIGATE what the relationship appears to be?

The relation between price of wine and its quality cannot be said to be linear, because there is no quantitative measure for the quality.

The price of houses might be fairly close to linear, for typical size and age of houses. But it is not always linear, because a fairly small house could be expensive if it is in a desirable location or contains a lot of expensive cabinets, carpets, etc.

The relation between how far you drive and how much gas you use is a pretty good example of a linear relation.

I will go for the second option price of house and size of house.
Because the quality of wine is difficult to measure.
