I swear, when I heard Shaggys "Mr. Loverman" I thought the words were "If u love a man Sh@g 'im" and someone else thought that Eiffel 65s song "Blue" had words in it, namely "I'm blue, not a green apple pie that u can eat I'm blue, not a green apple pie"
Whats the funniest line from a song u've ever misheard?

My daughter sings "My girl's on the potty all the time, potty all the time, potty all the time!" when she hears "PATT" (Party all the time) by Sharam. :-)

It's appeared in "oops" books, but I myself had to argue with someone that Jimi Hendrix is NOT singing, "kiss this guy" (actually: "kiss the sky"). I agree that, in "Secret Agent Man" by Johnny Rivers, it DOES sound exactly like he's singing "secret Asian man"! I heard it on the car radio the other day and was laughing about it. I had a number of friends who used to sing "You and me and a dog named Blue" instead of "Boo". These same friends sang, "You and me and Lesley~groovin'" instead of "You and me endlessly~groovin'". I'm sure that I've done plenty of mis-hearing over the years. Unless you have the printout of lyrics, only the artist could be certain. I recall when People magazine (I believe it was) asked people to send in interpretations of Nirvana's "Smells Like Teen Spirit". How I wish I knew where that article was since I tore it out to keep it but promptly mislaid it. It was hysterical!

Saw this on a wikipedia page for "this aint a scene, its an arms race"

original: as long as the rooms keeps spinning, thats just the business im in. this aint a scene, its a God **** arms race.(x4) im not a shoulder to cry on, but i digress. im a leading man, and the lies i weave are oh so intricate."

misheard: as long as the room keeps singing, thats just a fitness hobby. this aint a city, its a golf cart, as* face. *(x4) im not a shovel, Don Juan, but I dye grass. Im a creepy man. oh so evil, also into cats."

there are several for this one actually

i suppose teh most amusing would be Oasis "Champagne Supernova" - theres a lyrics that goes "slowly walkin down the hall/faster than a cannonball" but i could have sworn they were saying "cannibal" and i wondered why cannibals walked slowly...my friend and I were singing along to this and she began laughing her head off when i sang "cannibal" cuz i truly though that was what the lyrics said

There was this song out about 10 years ago, it went like this

"punks jump up to get beat down", my hubby was singing it once and I heard him say

"pumps the bump to get feet down.....???"" lol!

I corrected him and he said, "yeah i guess that makes more sense...."

My sister misheard 2 lyrics to 2 rock songs..

Instead of " 'scuse me while I kiss the sky" she heard" " ' scuse me while I kiss this guy"

And..

Instead of "Shine on you crazy diamond"
She heard" Shine on you grey pajamas"

Too funny!!

I have a friend who used to think the song "Drift Away" was saying "Gimme the Beach Boys who freed my soul".

Old Jimmy Buffett, (you know, parrot head, margaritaville fame) tune called "why don't we all get drunk and scr*w?" Thought it was "Why don't we all get lunch a school?" I was a little naive as young man! LOL

When my son was little he'd sing "Rump rump rump roast" instead of "Rum pum pum pum" in "Little Drummer Boy". He's grown now and we still sing it that way every Christmas!
Try singing all the lyrics to yourself, it's hysterical!

"Song 2" by Blur. In the chorus, the last line is "Pleased to meet you" but to me it sounds like "Is there any jam?"
