Their growing economy combined with American demand may put a crush on limited petroleum reserves, leading to conflict? Do you agree or disagree. Why?

I'm thinking this may be part of our action in the Middle-East. What do you think?

I agree - I don't shop Wal-Mart at all. I'm old school "buy American." Keep mom and pop in business, small town America, Mayberry RFD is where it's at!

with people like bush in power anything is possible. This thing is beyond individuals as these are mighty nations and move with an unstoppable momentum. thats why bodies like UN were made to try and bring sanity and not use the language of bombs. But usa ignores un and goes unilaterally and this in the long run undermines international law and brings in the law of anarchy.
I hope you understund that no matter what you can say about military strength certain countries simply cannot be "defeated" ,russia, usa, india, china cannot be defeated, they are too huge whatever figures you use to explain a chinese defeat wont work inpractice. And these guys can hit BACK unlike iraq, americans will then know what war is on their own home soil ,something that believe me we are not ready to endure . do you want to know what its like to rebuild a destroyed city?

between the excellent questions I truthfully have considered on Yahoo for fairly a at the same time as, by the way. Very exciting standpoint, yet i imagine issues will be out of hand earlier that aspect arises. Russia is a time-honored participant in this example because they have the actual danger to the stabilization of the middle east. in the journey that they could assume administration over the oilfields than the international will owe them. the middle east oilfields and not using a significant and state-of-the-artwork nuclear danger is a pawn. Your ideal, this may carry about conflict, yet Russia has the better hand, till someone calls their hand. It is only no longer the U.S. or Allies. that's no longer a triumphing situation. in this example, the aggressors will lose.

There will probably be quite a few conflicts over dwindling petroleum supplies, with China and the United States being the major players.

Edit-Yes,it is a major consideration in everything we do in the Middle East.

As China seeks to expand in power and influence it will invariably collide with us and our interests. WW II with Japan was at least partly over our effort to restrain their economic zone of influence and control.

For the foreseeable future oil defines successful economies and China's appetite for it is already affecting prices.

If we want to win this coming conflict we must get over our social policy directed education system.

Lets get real. The U.S. is hated by many all over the world. As a country of power it is inevitable for us to come to war with other countries especially China whose an up and coming powerful country.

it's already begun. oil supplies are limited, growth is tied to it. Unless we develop other resources (green or not) they will be in competition with us for it. If you don't watch out, you'll be buying Chinese autos, boats and other big items. Buy Geramn, Argentinian, Portuguese...but don't buy from the Chinese. When they buy from us, go ahead and buy from them.

Not over oil, but over the spread of their so called "communism".

China hates the U.S. (that may be shocking, but it is 100% true).

Many people in China say war with the U.S. is unavoidable.

CHINESE GENERAL THREATENED TO NUKE U.S.
2005:
Chinese general warns of nuclear risk to US
http://www.guardian.co.uk/china/story/0,7369,1529754,00.html
"A senior Chinese general has warned that his country could destroy hundreds of American cities with nuclear weapons if the two nations clashed over Taiwan."

2006: CHINA THREATENED TO NUKE JAPAN
The president or premier of China said it in March 2006.
This was one of links to communist websites in China that carried the story. China removed the story after it got so much attention.

China was helping the U.S.'s enemy in the Kosovo. That enemy was committing genocide. China helped North Korea in Korean war (China did a surprise attack on Americans and it never announced it was going into war against the U.S.) , China helped Viet Cong in Vietnam, China is currently making deals with Venezuela, China gave nuclear bomb making machines to Iran, China targets missiles at U.S. soldiers in Japan, China stole our nuclear bomb secrets, China wants us to go broke by devaluing their currency, etc..
China is currently pushing Iran to make nukes. China wants the U.S. to attack Iran which will weaken the U.S.'s military. China's grand plan is to get us involved in as many wars as possible. This was Chairman Mao's idea. Decades ago he announced it and China continues the policy today.
Clinton war right to bomb China's Kosovo embassy. China's embassy was supplying intel to the enemy.

This link has a list of bad stuff done by China. It also shows Clinton ignored what China was doing and still did an irrevocable trade agreement with China.

Don't listen to the people that say the U.S. owes China a lot of money. They are completely wrong. That is just a Chinese propaganda myth that has made its way into our media. The amount of debt China wanted to buy is less than $400 billion and that is nothing compared to the U.S.'s GDP. Also, China only buys our debt to manipulate the value of exchange rates to increase the trade deficit.
