If you are in the United States, are a US citizen or marrying one, are not under the guardianship of anyone as in the case of mental disability or incarceration, if you are age 18 or over, if you are not related to the person you intend to marry any closer than 3rd cousin, then no, there is nothing that can be done to prevent your marriage. It's a long check-list though. Make sure everything is taken care of.
Oh, and I forgot, you also must be a man marrying a woman or a woman marrying a man unless you are in Massachussetts. Massachussetts is the only State as of now that acknowledges and legalizes gay marriage. The rest of the States and the world should follow the example. Gay people have the right to be miserable like every other straight couple!

Who is "they"? The person you want to marry or your family? if they is the person you wish to marry, then um, yeah, they can stop you by not marrying you. If it is your family, you are 33 years old. You have the right to marry who you choose. Why run away? Just do it, they will either accept it or they wont, either way, you will be with the person you love. Good luck!

Who don't want you to? If the person you want to marry dose not want to get marryd you can marry them. If it is a diff. person who does not want you to marrie don't let them in the wedding. If you are of sound mind there is not much anyone can do only object and then they have to prove to the priest why you two should not merry

Haha...it's not like in the old TV shows where someone can object and stop you from getting married. :) As long as you and your wife-to-be are both consenting adults (who are not closely related), nothing should be able to stop you.
Good luck to you!

You mean you want to marry someone against her will, or you mean you want to get married, but someone (such as a parent) doesn't approve? You can't do the first, but can do the second if you're both over 18.

Unless it's the partner whom you would like to marry is stopping you. If not, I say go ahead man!!
Did you ask your family members and friends the reason for it?
We all know that love is blind, but if you truely love this person and see living the rest of you rlife with him/her. Go ahead.
Congrats and good luck. :-)

WHAT???
If you are saying you want to marry someone but that someone does not want to marry you, then getting married won't happen.
If you are saying you want to marry someone but someone ELSE does not want you to marry... as long as you both are over 18 you can do whatever you want.
