The song, originally performed by King Harvest in the 1970's, was remade in the 2004 movie "Fat Albert" by an unknown R & B artist. Although the soundtrack is credited to Richard Gibbs, I don't know if he is the one responsible for remaking this song. Kudos to whoever did it, though, because it is one of THE COOLEST things that I've heard all year!!!! If ANYBODY knows who did it, PLEASE LET ME KNOW!!!! THANKS IN ADVANCE!!!!

Oh I disagree. I totally think it can be a 'mea culpa' ~ 'my fault' ~ and be meant as an apology. But maybe it's more about 'how' it's said, ya know... like someone can say "sorry" in a snotty tone and you know they're not sorry... sorta seems like the same thing. If they say 'my bad' in a way that sounds like they're sorry, then okay ~ likewise, if they're just sloughing it off... well, then the actual words matter less... because the meaning comes through loud and clear.
