Where can I find information about how the U.S has emerged as a global power in the 1920's?

I've been working on this massive project for about four weeks, and I can't seem to find any reliable links. It would be helpful if the information is in the form of primary resources, though secondary sources are acceptable too.

I'm also looking for imformation about how the United States has affected the music, fashion, religion, and overall culture of foriegn countries in the 1920's.

The Model T Ford!

I posted the question 'What was the impact of the Model T Ford' and am waiting for answers. So far most people have suggested Mass Production or Assembly Line but Ford was a latecomer in establishing those.

The real answer is the impact it had on the Global Economy. I believe that is what gave the U.S. an edge on the Global Stage. In Europe we had a strong position in contributing to the outcome of WWI. We then became main purchaser of Asian resources giving us an edge there.
