This doesn't seem to be working; I have 10mL of 1.00mM I2 solution, and it's being mixed with 25mL of a .5M HCl solution. However, the number i get is way off; the equation sets up like this:

1.00mM /10mL = C2/35mL

When I solve for C2 here, I get 3.5mM???? The concentration can't do that.

in steps; 1.00/10 = .01
.01*35= 3.5

1/10 does not equal 0.01.

0.01 x 35 does not equal 3.5.

The new molarity of I2 is (10/35) x 1.
