My dog is a 8 month old White German Shepherd. I am worried that he won't be much of a guard dog. He is very friendly, and I love that. My husband thinks he needs to be a little tougher. I baby him so much.

mine doesn't as well and she is nearly 10 years old so it is not going to happen. unusual for a Shepard but not something I worry about. She barks at other dogs! You could ask your vet next time the dog has it's shots. He may just check there are no problems so good luck.

I work with aggressive dogs and it's easier to resolve aggression than problematic barking!

Feed it Blood!! it will be evil and it might bark even at you.. that is an advice of my friend but I haven't tried it yet! I don't want my dog to be a vampire!!

No you should be PLEASED, it means he has a good temperament! Seriously, barking at strangers is not a desirable trait in a pet dog!

Stop worrying.
If someone started to harm you I think you would see another side of him/her.

You didn't say what kind of dog it is.
Some dogs don't bark at much of anything.
Other breeds bark at everything.
