Start with 251cc+ open C

A is expert
B is intermediate
C is Beginner (or Novice)

If you've never been to a race before, and you're relatively new to riding, you might want to start your first race in the Sportsman class - there's no points, usually you'll make a shorter loop, and there's less competition. Good for 'learining the ropes'.

B class = beginner
A class = advanced
I'm not sure about the C class. It might mean children (under15yrs)
I think your class would be - 251 Open B 251cc+
Here is an AMA copy of the hare/scrambe rule book.
When you sign up for the race, they'll tell you what class to ride in. Every district has their own set of rules.
