I can't see why it should be a problem, since the valves are each end of the rad, and no water would come into contact with the electric point.

i have just had a radiator fitted above a socket as long as the valve is away from it it will be ok

i dont think its against building regs but common practice would be to avoid putting electrical outlets near direct earthing points within reach and a plumbing system (if copper) is directly earthed if you were to touch live wire without being earthed you would get away with a shock but if you were touching on an earthed item you would fry..try to avoid it if possible.....otherwise get qualified sparky..

dependin on your location because city and county codes vary, check with your local buildin inspecter to be 100% correct. questions to them doesnt cost anything but the fines you could recieve after the fact can hurt
