When I am down I try to find things that will distract me till I am feeling better. I watch tv, read a book or go see someone or just run up to the store for a little item, or sit down and write things. Like blogging cause it seems to help too,
If I can't do those things, then I sit quietly and think of the good things I have or have done. Hope you feel better and if you dont after a few weeks, I would seek a docter's opinion.

Happiness is relative. Most people make themselves happy or miserable. Make a list of good things in your life and a list of bad things. Reread each list and then consider why each is good and/or each is bad. Consider how you can change the bad ones. Your happiness is your responsibility. Take control and find what works for you.
Remember each day above ground is a good one. Death comes to us all, enjoy life while you have it.

Do something that you enjoy doing that is totally for YOU. Take some time out to love and nourish yourself. Everyone feels better after a bit of a pamper. Go on - enjoy!

Put on some fun music and dance around your house like a complete loony. Usually helps me!

go outside, whether its cold, rainy, hot,,,, etc, get some fresh air, perhaps just sit, and observe life, or go for a walk,,,,,
if you know anyone with a small child,, or if you have one,,,,,, spend a little time with them,,,,,,,, read a book,,,,,,, play ,,,,,,,,,
also,,,, interact with anyone of any age, talk with them,,,,,, ask them about their life,,,,,, what they feel ,, etc,,,,,,
finally, if nothing else works,,,,,, take a nice warm bath or shower,,,,,,, then watch some frivolous tv,,,,, the comedy channel, the entertainment channel,,,,,, old shows,,,, etc
i find happiness comes from various things, and in spurts,,,, so to me,, its not about all over,,,,, all the time happiness, but being able to experience it in different activities,,, events

If this is long-term and/or you don't have a logical reason for it, try taking St Johns Wort.
Otherwise, put some Mika on your stereo and dance about!

Put some ultra happy music on as loud as you can, and dont resist the urge to dance! (But close the curtains!)

If that doesnt work, call a friend of yours and chat!
