"For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction." Newton’s third law

One theory on this is that there will be another ice age. Ice ages are nothing new to the earth. And when the earth gets to warm, it cools itself off.

It is mother natures way of balancing herself out and making everything right for the planet itself. Ice ages have happened before and are forecast again. In the thirteenth century there was a mini ice age in Europe caused by melted fresh glacier water pouring into the ocean and shutting down the currents that bring weather change to the effected areas. It took only a few years for glaciers to form over top of farms and towns. Winters did not end, and every year when the real winter time would come around it just got progressively colder until it was uninhabitable.

This could happen globally if enough of the fresh glacier water mixes with the salt water of the ocean and shuts down that main current that influences the jet stream and weather around the world.

PS. i am not familiar with oil cooling off the oceans. what is your source?

It won't happen. What is occurring at this time is normal climate change primarily due to Earth axial tilt and soloar cycles. In fact, as the Norther polar cap seems to be receding in some areas, the southern polar cap is growing.
