basically, the reason why pharmacists or any other doctor suggest water to be taken in with drugs is because water does not react to drugs when mixed together especially in the stomach. although alka-seltzer may work when used with fruit juice, it is not recommended since an unwanted reaction may take place when it goes down to your stomach. not all people can get to taste that experience but just to play safe, it is always wise to just dissolve it in water, also to maximize the effect of it.
