To be frank, no. I'm not sure which country you come from, but here in the UK there are thousands of children launguishing in state care because almost all adoptive parents want to take on a cute little newborn rather than a five-year old. It's similar to the "puppy syndrome" you get at the dog's home, and while it's understandable, I personally don't find it entirely forgiveable.

No, but we're thinking about adopting one from here in the states. Too many here that need homes to think about leaving the country to do it.

No. And I agree with Sharpei. We should be thinking about the kids in OUR country. There are so many abused and neglected kids here. We need to take care of problems on our homefront.
