I use the 3M sponges with the green scrubby on one side. I Squeeze it out AFTER using it as dry as I can.

Every two days or Once a week I put it in a cup of waster and MICROWAVE it to boil the water. It kills ALL THE BACTERIA.

IF you have a Sponge THAT SMELLS, THROW IT AWAY!

Thanks, RR

Where kitchen cleanliness is concerned, there is no such thing as a "little gross." That's why I don't use sponges. However, if you do, clean them well after each use and microwave them to kill any leftover germs. I use bleach to clean kitchen surfaces and I add it to my dishwater. I'm determined to keep the food area spotless and germfree.

When it looks a little gross. If it looks a lot gross then your not cleaning anything. Your just traveling bacteria from counter to pan throughout your house.

Just a little gross, then I get a new one and use the old one to clean the bathroom.

lol a little gross I guess. I usually put a little bleach in my dishwater so at least the germs in the sponge are being killed.
