Click on the address bar at the top of the internet page, highlight the address then press control and c (shortcut to copy) then in the know your source box, press control and v (shortcut to paste)

Much quicker than typing the address in and if its in the box below it highlights for you.

cut and paste the URL from the address bar of your browser and be sure to include the http:// at the start when you're posting web addresses here on Y!Answers.

In emails, using a Yahoo! account, type the word or phrase you want to make into a link then highlight the text with your mouse. With the text highlighted, click on the link symbol on the toolbar along the top of the text window. A box appears with the http:// part of the link URL already in place. Type the rest of the link URL after that bit. Don't leave any spaces. Click OK and the highlighted text will turn blue and be underlined. It will then work as a link to the URL you typed into the box.

Seeing as you've only had a few correct responses, I thought I'd add my two-pence worth.

To create a hyperlink you must include http:// at the beginning of the url you give. i.e., http://www.google.co.uk

Compare that with the offering from The Phantonm Darth Maul!, and you'll see the difference.

Oh yes, you also have to leave a space after the end of your url, so no commas or full stops.

i asked this and this is somone's reply which worked for me:

Do you mean to click on a link - if so .... go to the website you wish (in another window), right click in the browser address bar, this should automatically highlight the address, select copy, then go back to the page you want to paste the link and simply right click on the mouse and select paste.

http://www.google.com/search?q=copy+and+...

Just copy the address and paste it in your emails/answers...you could copy by right-clicking your mouse and selecting COPY or just press Ctrl C to copy and Ctrl V to paste it..

Unfortunately with Yahoo Answers, you have to enter the URL with the http://. Y!A doesn't recognise the URL and hyrperlink it if you don't put in the http://.

An example: www.purchasemyhome.co.uk and http://www.purchasemyhome.co.uk/.
