Perhaps you could find an agency that handles film and tv extras whilst you train at an after school drama club or perhaps before you apply for college. I don't think its that important to begin with, but eventually you will need to work in the business to gain your 'equity' card (This may be called something else if you are not in the UK, but is basically your way into 'proper' work' in the tv, theatre etc as you will be expected to show your membership of the union to employers to ensure you gain 'proper working conditions' etc). These agencies will be able to help you and advise you of everything you will need to know for example what sort of character they are sending you to play.
Just keep going and using any chance you can to show you are serious about this career. You are still young, but that is not to say agents will not take you on, young children are often taken on specifically because that is what the part requires. You should look at it as a chance to learn and take every opportunity that arises (even if that means appearing in your school plays etc even if its only small parts or as part of the choir initially. You have plenty of time to build up to larger roles. I would imagine that you are almost coming up to the age where you choose your 'options' at school and so I would suggest a quick chat with a teacher who may be able to advise you of any local places that could help you and the best subjects to take to help you. If you do these things your enthusiasm is sure to be noted and you will gain support from teachers etc. Hope you find somewhere that you can go to begin your career. Good luck. It might be worth writing to some agencies (try the phone book, web etc) to register your interest and maybe they will call you in and give you an honest assessment of your chances. It is a tough business with long and predictable hours, but the sooner you start the better.

You should join a local theatre group there is no guarantee you will get an agent but you will gain the skills and know audition practice a little better. You don't need to be in stage school but it is a distinct advantage. Best thing to do is start by getting an agent, thats the way you will get auditions for half decent jobs. But they are likely to be stage rather than tv films etc unless you are different.

You don;t need to go to stage school specifically - there are plenty of classes you can go to that run after school or at weekends whereby you can learn to be an actor (e.g. theatre groups, or drama groups). The teacher at the acting class/theatre school will have details of where to find out about auditions, etc. Preferably though you will need to join some kind of drama/theartre group, because you still need to practice, and this the ideal place to do that!! You can't expect to become an actor without being in some kind of drama/theatre group because you will not be taken seriously if you were to go to auditions that you found out about, say through the Internet!

I've always wanted to be famous and i have started a dance school called Lorri guppy's school and dance and she does lots of shows and everything and Lorri is well recommended for stuff like contender for the kids and you could start stuff like that and that's would be your start to fame. I also go to olive guppy school of dance and i was in Jack and the beanstalk with John Barrowman because olive has been doing panto for 31 years so she is the first recommended for pantomimes in the theatre. Little things like this get you famous i recommend you to start. :)

Well when l was younger, l made money by working with AMS modling agency. Its for all ages.Mabey you could do that? Its possible to become big that way. You have to keep updated photos every year, and people looking for kids or grownups to to modle in adverts or comercials they'll veiw your picture and you could get picked. I made loads of money. Its like 250 pounds per hour.
I was in papers, magazines, comercials, everything.
Try this, but i'm not srue how to get you in, i had friends who knew people. You might have to make a call or something.

I share your passion and dreams. Work for it. Nothing lands in your lap.
Also, the websights aren't 'rubbish'. A lot of people with sights have good things to say. Acting is HARD work, it's not something you do to 'enjoy yourself'. Really, please don't think I'm being all 'high and mighty', but you can't just start cold turkey.
If you haven't already, do some school plays, take some acting classes at a community center.... Plus, not everyone can do it, but you don't know until you try. But, if you can't do it, you can't do it. Be ready to accept it if you have to. Acting isn't a trade that you can 'get good at' if you're not naturally. It requires you to build a career on charisma and likeability, not just skill. You need talent.
I have no clue if I can act or not. I'm bent on trying as hard as I can to see, but if i can't, i won't waste my time.
Good luck!!!!

You need to really think about this its alot more hard work than it seems!! The best think to do is join a drama group so that you can prove you are commeted. This will also open up further oppitunities for you. I studied drama at school and in september am going to do performing arts at collage. In the end if you want something badly enough...i mean really really want it and are prepared to work day and night and do what ever it takes for something then eventully you will get it! Good Luck in what ever you decided to do x.x.x

Go to stage school. There you will learn the necessary skills, and network with the proper individuals to begin a career. The days of being discovered while strolling through town are over. Good luck!
