If it is then it is buried beneath all that sediment that washed out from the Rocky Mountains. In case you didn't know, all of Nebraska is on the high plains.

No. Nebraska is quite flat. There is a comic poster, showing someone on skis in the middle of a cornfield, with the legend "Ski Nebraska." Any skiing there would be cross-country.

Lincoln is down in the Platte River valley. There is no mountain withing hundreds of miles.
