it varies with each child. some babies sit up as soon as 4 months while others take more time and don't do it till 9 months. for the most part i think its around 6 months though, maybe sooner if they have something supporting them from behind.

One baby in four can sit up without support by six months of age. By seven months of age, 3 of every four babies can do so.

Between 5 months and 10 months. Usually 6 months with something behind them. just in case!

will never b able to sit up or stand on their own 2 feet if taught to have religious faith and to be an emotional cripple their entire life ........ more important to teach ur child to think..... before u know it, ur baby will be a hard-working responsible adult, capable of independent thought ability to reason, and that is a quality that is uniquely human....
