Yes, and then we got back together a year later, married, and then divorced. I never fell out of love, so I can only give my side of it, did he? I'm not sure he was ever in love, just found it wasn't better with the other person than he thought.

It is possible to fall back in love with someone all over again, but much depends on what caused you to fall out of love in the first place.
Is it a case of a boyfriend/girlfriend splitting up because of circumstances say for instance, moving to another area, or being too young and imature to handle the relationship? I suppose much can depend on circumstances and prior involvement with each other.

If on the other hand, it involves a cheating partner, then I can say that, a lot of people I know who have been in this situation, including myself, have found it very rarely ever works out in the longer term, even when they feel strongly about trying to recommit to each other again, and fall in love all over again, trying to make their marriage work, more so because they know that if their partner really did love and respect them, then they would have never cheated in the first place. So its really more a question of why and what are the reasons are that they stay together if the real love for each other is already gone.
In retrospect many can see that their love for each other is now based on, sentiment and guilt and family attachments, rather than the attraction, love and desire they first had for each other. Also to, is the issue of trust and honesty which also plays a very important role in getting back together and wither the partnership survives.

I have found, through the experience of others, that in the longer term, getting back together rarely works out for the best in these kinds of situations, but in other situations, that maybe didnt involve a cheating partner, falling in love all over again may very well work out for the couple.

Really, I'd say it depends on the circumstances and the two people concerned if 'falling in love all over again' is going to be great and work out for you both in the long term.

Good luck

when I first met my husband it was in year 2000. I met him in a local park near to my home. i fell in love with him the moment I saw him. I was in a queue to get some coffee at the park shop and was looking at him. when I turn away to get some coffee I felt a tap on my shoulder and it was him and he ask if I let him buy my coffee and have coffee with him. we hit it off straight away and was kissing each other within the hour of meeting. after a few weeks our love affair went sour and we drifted apart and I lost contact with him. I heard through a friend that he moved to london.
I found it hard to forget him and was heart broken and never got over him. then in 2003 I got a email and a letter from him. He remembered my email and where i lived after all the time. I agreed to meet him but was a bit causious because of my heart had already been broken by him before. the minute I saw him again my heart start to race and I fell for him again but my head took control and I played things cool for a while but things were alot better this time around and we took things slow and after a long time of getting to know each other we moved in and live together and then after one year we got married. a very happy ending to a love story!!

Yes, ive nearly lost someone and then fallen back in love with that someone all over again, it was awkward....we parted cos we cant stand the sight of each other, the presence and even the voices of each other!for 2years we didnt see or even hear about the other.last i heard she joined an airline and jetting about all over the world. until one day i was in a chatroom when i started a conversation with this girl who was in there for the first time as am i.after we hit it off and exchanged emails we decided to meet up for a blind date, i must say at that point i was totally smitten with this girl, imagine my surprise when it turns out to be my ex, the girl i left 2 years ago!she was taken aback as well of course. as we were there we decided to have the dinner and catch up on old times and laugh on newer times...we shared our first kiss that night and fall in love all over again.shes still with me now so im living a love story every day..and to think ive nearly lost her for good.

I've just split from someone I love, but we are still friends and I hope we can get back together soon. I feel madly in love with him at the moment, always thinking of him, even dreaming of him now!! I know that's not really the answer to your question but thats my story.
