I saw that story this morning too, egads...even more hilarious that the people that want to do this, in thier desire to try to be sensitive to other cultures, they think that the Easter Bunny is a Christian symbol???? Wow.... They could at least get it straight where it comes from... I don't get it how they think if they re-name it Peter Rabbit instead of the Easter Bunny, if he still hops around and passes out eggs and shows up at Easter, what are these people thinking??? A rose by any other name is still Eostre's Moon Hare....:)

GambitGrrrl: I should think so, but I guess they must have just been having a slow day....A mind is a terrible thing to waste :)

yeash.....You know I'm not religious, I consider myself agnostic, but I have NEVER had a problem with any religious iconography in public places!

And yeah, the Easter bunny isn't even Christian!

It's like that Jewish guy who was pissed off because an airport had Christmas trees and wreathes.....again, the "Christmas tree" is NOT a Christian symbol.

The Druids were the first to decorated pine trees as a part of a winter festival because they symbolized ever lasting life!

Aren't there REAL problems to deal with?

Can't we worry about something more important than a damn Bunnie, As far as bunnies go there will be plenty more where that one came from.
How about the American children dying in the Middle East. They don't breed like rabbits, and I do care about their names, each one!
