nothing.
the war in iraq is all about corporate contracts.
france had lots of corporate contracts in iraq BEFORE the war and none now.
so, in the upsidedown world of the corporate controlled neocons, france is as much of an enemy as anyone...

"so they didnt go into the war blindly like the US and the UK did"
That's not the issue.
France spoke out vocally against the war with Iraq, along with others. French President Chirac threatened to veto Iraq war plans in the UN Security Council. This bothered a lot of Americans that used to be in support of the war for a few reasons, but largely because France tended to object to the war on the grounds that we hadn't exercised enough diplomacy. Whether or not the US actually had is irrelevant; the majority of the population believed that Saddam Hussein had the WMDs and was prepared to use them. It was also fairly common knowledge that France was Iraq's #2 trading partner, and continued to supply Hussein with weapons up until late in the winter of 2002. There was even some speculation that French officials had been bribed by Hussein to stop the war in the UN. That claim was never proven, however.
So, the American people felt betrayed by French policy and seeming underhandedness.

Yes they are. They are trying to make France feel pity for not helping the U.S. So many Americans have gotten into a huge *** macho state where they walk around and say "France is too weak to do anything, we've helped their sorry asses so many times". But actually, they are just trying to get France and other countries to help them. And unlike what the other answerers have said, France has helped the U.S., don't you idiots remember the American Revolution.

The problem with France for the most part is that it wants to be everybodies buddy. So really, whos buddy is France then? Unfortunately in this age the worlds population hasn't come to see eye to eye on everything. There are difference throughout. Most countries are able to identify what they stand for. France is not able to do that. France wants to be a western civilization that is ran by Islamic extremist. That is a condradiction. France does not want to be over run by extremist, that's understandable. But they don't want to stand up to them either.

Because the French are nothing but a bunch of cheese-eating surrender monkeys.
btw, their lack of support of the USA in Iraq had nothing to do with anything other than Chirac's personal business dealings with Saddam that went back over two decades. Chirac and Hussein were friends and business partners. Chirac couldn't go against Saddam or it would have personally cost him millions. He picked a loser, of course, but hey, when did the French ever win anything?

I could care less about the French. But it isn't just Americans. The place I use to hang out at,the frogs used to come in. It wasn;t the Americans that got into fights with them. It was the Brits that hung out there too that got into scraps with them..

They are ungratefull sniveling cowards and run from a fight whenever they can. They gladly let the Germans march into Paris during WWII without firing a shot and America had to save their pathetic butts. They are infested with radical muslim jihadist who now make up over 10% of their population.

No France was back dealing with Iraq and Iran. Supplying both with nuclear technology.
Their self interest keeps them participating in the war on terror.

Joke for you.. why do they mount the turrets on french tanks backward?
So they can fire as they are running away!!

Other than sleep with the Enemy, I cant understand Why ?
We saved them , from German occupation, yet at every turn,
they chose to side against America . They are critical, of
America, so why should we adore them, they are quickly,
on their way to become a satellite state of Iran. Could be it
annoys us , than in the near future, we could be hearing, pleas, for Liberation, from Radical Islam.

Look, we liberated their country from the Nazis 60 years ago because they surrender as soon as the could and their Vichy government cooperated with them. We lost thousands and thousands of American men to do that, including my uncle. Yet, France never supports us! Where's the gratitude?
