It depends on what his circumstances would have been without Jordan and Shaq.

It's possible that none of those guys would have achieved what they did (in terms of championsips) without the other.

Jordan wouldn't have won six rings, or anything close to it, if he had guys like Stan Albeck and Doug Collins as his coaches throughout his career. Did Jordan ever "achieve" anything without Jackson as his coach?....no.
Jordan never won anything without Jackson...in fact, he never came close to winning anything without Jackson.

Jackson won with some superstar players who had underachieved before Jackson arrived.

Even when Jordan retired the first time, and people expected the Bulls to completely fall apart as a team, they finished 55-27 (as opposed to 57-25 in 1993, after which Jordan retired for the first time). Scottie Pippen took over the team, and they dropped only two games in the win column. Also, BJ Armstrong and Horace Grant made the East All Star team that year for the only times in their careers (Armstrong played 11 years in the NBA, Grant played 17 years).

I doubt there's another coach out there who could have produced 3 all stars from the 1994 Bulls roster.

Sure, Shaq won a title without Phil Jackson, but he had Pat Riley, certainly the 2nd best coach (if he's not the best) of the last 35 years.

People can say what they want about Jackson winning 9 championships while coaching superstar players, but other guys have coached Jordan without winning anything...and other guys have coached Shaq without winning anything.

If all it takes to win a title is coaching a couple of superstar players, let me know how the Denver Nuggets do in this year's playoffs.

Well, Ocean, like I said, the 95% of the Bulls that was Michael Jordan never won crap without Jackson (and Jordan never played on a winning team without Pippen). Five seasons without Pippen, five LOSING teams....look it up. How'd Jordan do when Stan Albeck was coaching him?

And also, like I said, let's see how Denver does in the playoffs this year. Two superstars, that's all anyone needs, according to you.

We'll see.

By feats, do you mean the nine championship ring? I would have to say no.
But 2-3 championship ring, I think it is possible for him to have coached a team w/o those two dominant player to get 2-3 championship ring.
