I'm curious...How many of each type of court case (civil, criminal, juvenile, and traffic) is dealt with in the US per year?
Which type overwhelms the court system the most?

it's a money mill.

thousands of cases

they are not overwhelmed. they make them stand in line to fork over that money.

The bulk of all litigation is Civil. As for exact statistics, you may have to contact each state to find out. I'm not certain where you should start, but the state Attorney General's office could give you some guidance.
