I'm not sure your #1 question really applies. It might be best to consider four different types of fast food.
You could try
Taco Bell
Kentucky Fried Chicken
McDonalds
and maybe include a place like Wendy's that claims to have a healthy menu.

I would only focus on a few places, because you can come up with a good theory based on those four restaurants that would apply to most all fast food places, especially if you vary the menu like with the restaurants I have listed you pretty much cover the bases.

You need to include nutritional information on a couple samples meals from each place. Maybe compare the difference based on combo size (ie, large fries, large soft drink). You should also compare these to a diet of similar foods but with quality ingredients. For example, you could compare the nutritional value of a meal bought in McDonalds to the same meal but with items purchased in the supermarket. This would produce a very good report, I think you'll find in most cases, with maybe Wendy's as a partial exception, that the food in fast food restaurants really has very little good nutritional value, and very high non healthy aspects, compared to the supermarket equivalent.

You might even go as far as comparing preparation methods, for example a hamburger cooked over a barbecue grill might have more of the fats drained out of it than one fried up in a frying pan.

The 4 most top selling fast food industries in America are as they appear in rank

1. McDonalds
2. Burger King
3. Wendy's
4. Arby's

I wouldn't only focus on these places, try to widen your research, find out the differences between each restaraunt, and even do a search on your favorite restaraunt

Include The nutrition for each restaraunt, which ones best, which ones worst? Include Health reports, which you can get from the internet, Include All the different types of food, include whatever you like about the restaraunt

Good Luck!

1: McDonalds, 2: Burger King, 3: KFC's, 4: Subway

question #2: Yes because subway is good, Burger King is Bad and McDonalds is ugly. KFC is in between.

3. Fast food is terrible for you. Unless you are smart about it, many places include healthy choices, so pick them. And feel free to splurge on unhealthy items but remember to go work them off. Fast food can be a bad option but being a couch potatoe is much worse for your health.

Supersize Me might be a great film to check out for some ideas, you DO realize this idea is taken? You will have to see it at some point to make sure you aren't plagiarizing. And don't.

Fast food markets are regional at best, your top four are going to be the megacompanies that serve around the world. Sonic, In and Out, Jack in the Box, Hardee's, are not consistent around the country. McDonalds, Wendy's, Taco Bell, and KFC are.

You should keep your scope limited someway, sounds like you want four...good idea. You can wander some if you discover odd facts here and there, or if the best and worst of something are not in your top four.

1-how many times a family eats out per week
2-nutritional value
3-reason why ?mom/dad working no time to prepare the meal.
4-obesity and does it run in the family..
