What are some of the things that we, as a whole and as one, do to stop this trend?

People need to face up to reality. Just because you are head over heels with someone, you have to step back and see if they can really meet your needs. You can't get too intimate with someone too fast or you lose the ability to see things clearly.
I guess. I don't have this problem.

I have been married 20 years, getting married very young.

For me the key to ANY relationship including marriage is
TRUST, RESPECT, and HONESTY.

People have to understand the meaning behind a commitment and be sure that the person they are marrying understands it as well. Also to know that it won't be easy- there will be many challanges ahead but because of your committment you are OBLIGATED to try!

Look at it this way you will inherit 2 homes instead of the traditional 1
