First, I have to say I don't know ONE guy who hasn't really had to go outside. I was extremely intoxicated and took the time to climb behind this tall air conditioner thing in an alley where a member of the public could not possibly see me. I went in a very dark spot. Midstream, a cop pops up next to me, no flashlight. I follow him over to his car and get a $100 ticket. I am wondering if there is any way to fight this if I went to court? No smart alec answers needed, thanks.

just pay the fine. No excuse will get you out of that one.

You could try, but it would cost you more to fight it in court than it would to just pay the ticket. The only defense you MIGHT have would that "Necessity". However, your drunkenness does NOT matter to the court. They will judge your actions by those of a SOBER reasonable person.

Our apartment building is next door to a busy pub. One night a neighbor of ours got fed up with drunks peeing against the building. She opened her window and yelled out "Hey everybody, this man has the smallest penis I've ever seen!". Needless to say, they stopped using the back of our building as a urinal.

Well, you could try to argue a medical condition, but you'd need a doctor's note or something. Maybe you could tell the judge that you had been beaten up, left in the alley, and then woke up, robbed and had to relieve yourself? Not being smart there.

Good luck.

Consider you self lucky that your not charged with with public exposure. Some have and been convicted for a sex crime.

How would you like to be a registered sexual offender, just pay the fine.

Midstream LOL!
I think you're out of luck, if the cop shows up in court and testifies that he saw you do it.

Get a doctor to say you have a severe urinary tract infection and that this led to your not being able to wait.

Check your state laws, as a public urination ticket can make you a lifetime registered sex offender in some states, I am not kidding.

Tell them that you have a bladder control problem. By the way, that cop was such an ***hole to you if he gives a ticket for public urination! Most cops aren't fair.

Check the wording on the ordnance.Unless you were visible to passers by,I don't think you are guilty. The cop was just curious as to what you were doing, and wrote the ticket because he didn't catch you doing anything more serious

$100? weigh out options and either pay ticket or......find representation and fight it! I would never tell anyone to fight the law alone........If you fight......GET A LAWYER!
